Milwaukee -- Scott-Johnson & Smith LLP is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our very own, Attorney Shakia Smith, who has been named the recipient of the Milwaukee Bar Association’s 2025 "Pathfinder Award for Emerging Attorneys," presented as a part of the organization’s State of the Court Luncheon at the Wisconsin Club on October 1.
The Pathfinder Award recognizes rising attorneys who are forging new paths in the legal profession. Attorney Smith embodies this spirit every day, both inside and outside the courtroom.

Expanding Impact: Beyond criminal defense, she has demonstrated strong leadership in civil litigation, including commercial disputes and personal injury matters, where she has skillfully fought for fair outcomes.
Serving the Community: Her commitment extends beyond her legal practice. Shakia is an active board member with the Sherman Phoenix Foundation and continues to mentor the next generation of attorneys, investing in the future of the profession and her community.
This recognition is more than an award, it is also a reflection of Attorney Smith’s vision, grit, and unwavering dedication to justice and community impact.
We couldn’t be more proud to stand alongside her as a co-founder, partner, and trailblazer. Please join us in congratulating Attorney Shakia Smith on this well-deserved honor!
